What we do with your information

Sri Lanka Journeys is operated by Clever Hub (Private) Limited, a company registered in Sri Lanka, company number PV00308620. You can reach us at info@srilankatour.travel or on +94 77 793 6904.

Only what you type into our enquiry form or send us by WhatsApp or email: your name, contact details, and whatever you tell us about the trip you want. We also store the page you sent the enquiry from and your browser user-agent string, which help us fix problems with the site.

If you join our email list we store only the address you give us, the page you signed up from and the date. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link.

We do not collect payment details on this website.

To answer you, to arrange the services you asked about with drivers, properties and guides, and to keep a record of what was agreed. If you ask us to book something, we pass on the details that supplier needs — your name, your dates, and any requirements you told us about — and nothing more.

Enquiries submitted through the form are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the Mumbai region. Our database rules make the enquiries collection write-only from the public internet, so no visitor can read anyone else’s enquiry. Email-list addresses are stored the same way, and copied to Resend, the service we send email from, when a newsletter goes out.

Enquiries that do not turn into a trip are deleted within two years. Records relating to trips we arranged are kept for as long as we may need them for accounting or dispute purposes, and then deleted. Email-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

Nothing you do here is sold to an ad network. The one advertising cookie this site can set is described below, and it exists only to tell us whether an advert we paid for was worth it.

We do use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, which sets its own cookies in your browser. It tells us how many people arrived, roughly where in the world from, and what they looked at. It does not tell us who you are, and we never join it to an enquiry you send us.

Your browser’s “Do Not Track” or private-browsing settings, an ad blocker, or Google’s own opt-out add-on will all keep you out of these numbers.

When we run adverts on Google Search, Google Ads conversion tracking records whether a visit that started from one of those adverts went on to a WhatsApp tap or an enquiry. It sets a Google cookie for that purpose. It counts the action, not the person, and it is never joined to anything you write to us.

The Sri Lanka Journeys app for iPhone and Android is the same guides, places and itineraries as this website, stored inside the app so they open without a signal. It has no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics, and it does not ask for your location, contacts or camera. What you save and the settings you choose stay on your phone.

Photographs are loaded from this website when you have a connection, so our web host sees the same request logs as any visit to the site (your IP address and device type) and nothing else. Tapping WhatsApp, email or a web link hands you over to that app or your browser, whose own privacy terms then apply.

Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@srilankatour.travel and we will deal with it.
